It offers an interesting perspective of the universe from an earlier time period. G.E. Mitton, a well-known author of her time, wrote this book to assist her friends in explaining the universe to their children. Her knowledge is not lost on the present day reader as she describes in an understandable way such complex topics proportion and gravitation. The quality of G.E. With the benefit of time we now have greater knowledge. How much more will people know in another 100 years? Written to help children of that age to understand astronomy it is still a valuable book today to help anyone with interest to understand the mysteries of space.
