The Children's Book of Stars Customer Reviews
:- 3.0 out of 5 stars from Puck -- Old and interesting : Interesting to see the guesses and discoveries from the early 1900's. If this was a children's book of back then, then future generations books are getting much simpler. Interesting read overall. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2019 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Neva Chambers -- Must read : This presents astronomy in understandable terms without being dumbed down and boring. It's like a conversation. Just ignore the portions about Mars, as we now know why it is red, and mention this is what they guessed based on the available facts in 1910. ( Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2016 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Jacquie Rhoades -- A View From the Past : This book was written by Geraldine Edith Mitton (1868-1955). It offers an interesting perspective of the universe from an earlier time period. G.E. Mitton, a well-known author of her time, wrote this book to assist her friends in explaining the universe to their children. Her knowledge is not lost on the present day reader as she describes in an understandable way such complex topics proportion and gravitation. The quality of G.E. Mitton's work deserves nothing but an excellent review. ( Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2012 )
- 3.0 out of 5 stars from wa3aaw -- OK : I felt like it was written to a 5 or 6 yr. old level, with some over technical explainations. Most kids , in my opinion, would put it down and never read it. Just tell it like it is in simple terms. ( Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2013 )

- 3.0 out of 5 stars from Malcolm Evans -- Guide to the planet's and stars : This book was written around 100 years ago which makes it fascinating to read how people then we're interpreting their observations. With the benefit of time we now have greater knowledge. How much more will people know in another 100 years? Written to help children of that age to understand astronomy it is still a valuable book today to help anyone with interest to understand the mysteries of space.
