:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Grymm -- An insightful and excellent read : Pemberton skillfully writes this book as an outstanding effort to help us realize our impact and recognize the impact others have. Beacons of hope in dark and trying times, icons of stability even when the foundations we have might be rocky or hard to navigate. He does a fantastic job pointing out and mapping how often overlooked little things can be a big deal. It’s often difficult for us to realize our impact on others and how we are seen when we are so enmired in our environments. Rocky and jagged shores with rough waters tend to distract us from the fact that we can, and likely are, saving others. All it takes is to observe and look at what we’re doing, and make sure we’re providing the proper energy/steps. You don’t have to be superman to save a life, and Pemberton drives this home. The Lighthouse Effect brought me so much peace and a reminder that, although I didn't realise at the time, my life has been touched by many "lighthouses" in the past, for which I am eternally grateful.
